Parvin Jalali - solo exhibition (01 February - 12 February)
The woman is embodied in an allusive way in connection with nature. Plants, as an element of nature, reflect the cycle of life and rebirth, which in many cultures closely correlates with the Mother goddess and fertility. As in the Greek mythology, with the bond of Gaia (Mother Earth) and Uranus (Father Sky), the mother of all gods or “Rhea” is born. This self-taught artist brings together herbal and human forms in narrative space. In addition to the brilliant colours, multi-dimensional spacing and simultaneous phenomena, she also benefits from tracing expressive faces to emphasise the position of women and their vital role in society.
