Iran Art: The permanent hall of Monir Shahroudi Farmanfarmaian will be open on Friday, December 24 in the garden of the Negarestan Museum, along with an intimate meeting with this artist. In order to appreciate Mounir Shahroudi Farmanfarmayan in the opening ceremony, Majid Sarsangi, Cultural Deputy of the University of Tehran, and Farbod Farahi, a member of the custodians of this forum, will lecture. The permanent hall of Monir Shahroudi Farmanfarmaian is located in the southeastern of the Negarestan museum-Garden, which will be open with 50 paintings and mirror artworks by the artist. This hall will be open to the public. Due to her artwork’s special style, which is a kind of geometric abstraction, these artworks are a combination of traditional Iranian and modern designs. In addition, the combination of traditional glass paintings, Āina-kāri and minimal geometric shapes with a modern artistic concept, has given them special privileges. Not long ago, while introducing her artistic style, the artist considered the University of Tehran as a reliable place to preserve artworks and dedicated 50 of her artworks to the University of Tehran attended by Mahmoud Nilly Ahmad Abadi, the head of Tehran University.
