Mostafa Nourbakhsh - solo exhibition (02 February - 13 February)

Statement

Perhaps these artworks do not matter to anyone, but they are the result of an individual effort who is constantly working to visualize his thoughts and feelings. If anyone exist, he should be acceptable; so his thoughts, believes and feelings should be acceptable as well; especially if he can say a word, which others are not able to describe it as a visual art and due to this Courage, reverence and respect for this person should be greater. In some cases, there may be no reason to welcome the audience, or even there may be serious mistakes in the artworks but honestly in implementation, is a principle that brings purity and originality to the artwork and it is more important than any law or foundation. I do not know any real artist all over the world, who is trying to create an artwork due to showing off or boasting. There is always a lot of attention and admiration in artworks, which the basics and rules have been violated, and the artist just tries to express his emotions. When we find out what has happened to the artist to create a work, the hard work becomes more apparent, and it is highly commendable that there are people who, despite being mistaken in their work, are working for purity. In addition, who can claim that he has not been mistaken in his life? there is time, when, for achieving a pure work of art, prompted from the nature of human being, not affected by time lapse and also, part of a set which provides the fundamentals of civilization in the present era, the only solution is to carry out endless efforts to initiate a new plan and expand it. Making mistakes in these situations is inevitable; however, with regard to the progression process, none of them is wrong, but they are some steps to achieve a correct and transformative situation. The specific result will be achieved only by passing through this way; repetition is the main factor. In these cases, usually people who compare the artwork with another one, use the world “mistake”; however, instead of this world, it is better to ask why this happened and search for the reason. (The correct critique) According to these processes, mistakes become the correct elements in which eliminating them, will result in the failure of whole artwork. Now that the subject is related to the new tendency in calligraphy with some Avant-garde works, the artworks of the leading artists, for different reasons such as their formal form, excessive abstraction, simple materials, minimal number of colours as well as being spontaneous, not only do not show any trace of beauty in the general sense, but also, they look ugly and rough. He did not refer to his intelligence during creation. He may have created something in the face of “something else” and this other thing could be an emotion that he was able to express in the form of the created work. Although the artwork can be seen, but no art can be observed in that. As the concept of the artwork is not clear, the comprehension of the audience will be different with the main purpose of the artist. Due to this fact, the art in such artworks cannot be observed or comprehended. In this case, comprehension is completely meaningless. That is the reason why most of the current and past decade’s artworks have become ugly and nonsense. There are many who offer beautiful things that are more essential than the ugly group. Why? To stylize the spirit of the community and save the world from being full of ugliness and frivolity. Now what is the reason behind the people, who create ugly things? Because at the beginning, the existence of beautiful ones become meaningful, and being a reason to spoil and evade the psychological stresses of the community. In addition, in the case of those who create good and well-done tasks, comparison will take place between them but in the case of the first group, the situation is complicated, and people do not know which artwork is worst. This is where critics are needed. Although the criticism of different critics is different, but what can be done? The nature of such artworks requires this. However, in the present time, ugly and nonsensical actions have also become a celestial virtue, and everyone is trying to do the ugliest thing they can.
