Artwork explanation

One day, in a thousand years ago, Al-Biruni, who did not believe in magic and enchantment, tried to find a solution to make people look at the world with more open eyes in front of the astonished people, gathered around the square, he kept a necklace made of emerald in front of a snake’s eyes. Although attendees were witnessing that, the snake did not go blind, even while looking at the emerald directly. Still after a thousand years ago, the rocks, forms, words and colours are the mystery boxes, which make impossible possible.

Expert Opinion

Kianoush Farid's work is a journey to explore the dreams and mysteries. For this reason, instead of painting with colour and brush, scratches the colours on the surface of the canvas to shape these forms and symbols and portrays stories of the worlds full of spells and Amulets.
