Sorrow

Artwork explanation

Asia, a continent where most of the civilizations were born and grew up. It is also a cross road where the civilisations came together.  Throughout the history, wars and Silk Road were the main figures for this intersection.

That is why the artists who were born on this geographic area are very lucky…

There are a lots to be inspired and adopt this cultural values and make harmony with his/her talent to create own artworks.

Elmira Shokr Pour a young, talented and well educated İranian artist. We first met with her in an international group exhibition which were held in Lithuania “Vilnius” and Georgia “Tbilisi” by Anima Mundi Art Foundation. We become friends while sharing common values of neighborhood.

Elmira Shokr Pour is an artist who can syntethesized the studies about Contemporary Art Work which she took in her own country as well as in Canada. This strong technique helps her to re-comment the ordinary contemporary art works while guarding the rules of this art form. Therefore the work at the end appears to be a beautiful synthesis of culture and herself.

In the themes figures and colors which she mostly uses in her works, the major effect of İranian culture is very clear.

Therefore I think İran is very lucky to have such a talented artist, Elmira who can show inherited cultural values of İran with a strong personal technique on her original and beautiful artworks.

It is easy to feel and hear Elmira’s successful scream for pleasure and pain together that you cannot describe it in her exhibition JOUISSANCE.

Expert Opinion

The most characteristic of the works of the artist Elmira Shokr pour is the female dimension at the level of the subject and at the level of analysis, visual and elements, where the artist's heroes are all women in the conditions of the bush reflect the conditions of women in contemporary society, a state of spiritual alienation.

Isolation is optional. A state of absence, opposition and confrontation with the revolution of technology and communications, and yet they are lonely women waiting for something, in the belief that the artist painting herself, and painting everything that represents what in her generation, at the visual level as the atmosphere of the dream where women were treated by nature.

The artist in her visual narratives tells herself about the women of her generation, the psychological conflict between modern life and tradition, and this is the reality in the world, the state of dispersion between the spiritual and human climax and what is happening in the world now at the social level،

Background control Constructional elements are a kind of visual narrative, perfecting the organization of design elements with geometrical divisions that gave a striking arrangement to the gradients and gradations, even though the extreme flatness was the opposite of the sharp and brilliant construction of space.

These trailing color spaces achieved a gradient in the image surface between organic and engineering as well as the most scenic scenery

Theatrical space of the dramatic act with the movement of the lines, and produced overlapping worlds of elements and colors

The most revolutionary is the way visual values are set in a symmetrical manner between the open spaces of the surface and the intensification of the lines, and then the demolition of this structure and put it in a different artistic framework, to make simplicity and reduce exaggeration, which reduced narrative details and add to the vitality of the composition in general. In my belief, I am an artist who has presented an intense visual value in a spirit of honor in the subject and colors. Her paintings, such as the Iranian carpet in a contemporary and objective manner, carry spiritual value to all the women of the world.

Artwork Description

When all the people start walking inside to Elmira's artworks, they can feel four seasons together. It is new experience what we belong to deep pain or deeply happiness untouchable. She touches that part of life very easily on her canvas with her figures.

Faces spoke with middle age ancient music to us in very old castle. We start smell fresh air once upon time.  Mythology tales reflects with her colours, her composition of philosophy. She has very different and unique style. Those forces opened lot of doors for contemporary existence. It is a way of expression of unknown world.

At the changing atmosphere floating us our own memories. Thinking "who am I? What am I live? “Artist Elmira's characters come and go few text of time. Other words they are worshipped in lyric and romantic temple. Each figure has own identity and personality. May be we can thınk all are similar but all they have personality differences.

The confidence and skill she demonstrates within her composition combines with speed and sponadanety with which her works, demonstrating a raw that is completely natural. Art is second signal system on her hand. Message turns from three dimensional surface to cerebral estate. Elmira's painting reflects her inside out with a reflection of social relatives, culture of society. Colour palate of the artist keep us to incredible planet.

I wish she wıll be candle for light brilliant this Artistic word. Her figures wıll live endless of love.  Again and again....
