History plays an important role for the current Iranian artist; the history, which, the experience has now focused on. The history, that contains nearly 70 years of modern art, is a collection of experiences of several artists. These artists have participated in an experience that is still ongoing for the Iranian community and for other artists. Extracting pieces from the corners of this early seventy years history, provides the opportunity to participate in the experience of artists and pave the way for knowledge of different generations of art in Iran. Ibrahim Faraji's paintings are in this history and participating in the art experience of the same era. However, his name is not among the top priority of this history. Understanding his paintings is not related to his lifetime, but it can be comprehended by studying his paintings as a specific style.
The influence of nature and portrait painting can be seen in his artworks and in some of them, he portrays his face with famous painters such as Vincent van Gogh, Michelangelo and Salvador Dali. To express his purpose, he uses colours, which is a feature of his artworks.
I consider him as Van Gogh of Iran, and I believe the world of art will appreciate him later.
After the establishment of the Tehran School of Fine Arts in 1943, different doctrines of art came into being. In a large division, the paintings of the Kamal-ol-Molk and modern art, separated from each other. Modern art or modernism, as translated afterwards, has a wide range of style and technical experiences. Books, observations, and teaching have shaped a variety of contradictory interpretations of art and modernism in it.
On the way to research, Iran's painting has produced many products and put them together. Some of these products, were separated from other parts and found the opportunity to differentiate, like the drawings that are mentioned in books and speeches, but they have never been considered. Art history has not provided a distinctive place for these paintings, many of which, have been stopped at the beginning of an experience, or represent a kind of styles.
