Hadi Shabani

Hadi Shabani was born in 1982, in Tehran. He is a graduate of cinematography from Tehran University of Art. Shabani participated in an artistic research and study programme in France. He is an active member of the rehabilitation field at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, the Society of Iranian Painters and Iranian photographers’ association. He is the founder of photography and painting education for blind students. In addition to producing and directing the documentary of Henry Matisse in France, he has produced several documentaries during his artistic career.

Shabani is a record-holder in single-leg cycling. He has invented the first Iranian artificial knee for cyclists with a single leg. He teaches art to children with special needs and has held more than 100 artistic workshops for people with special needs in Iran. Among other artistic and humanitarian activities, he has held educational classes in the welfare organisation of Iran. He is the founder and chairman of the jury in several art festivals. He has participated in more than 20 group exhibitions in painting and photography.
