The international CAMA Galley will hold an exhibition of the only self-taught international artist of Iran, Mokarrameh Ghanbari known as “Naneh Mokarrameh” on April 23.
According to the reporter of the Shabestan News Agency of Sari, an exhibition of the works of Mokarrameh Ghanbari “Naneh Mokarrameh” a postmodernist style painter of Mazandaran who came to world renown due to her paintings. The international CAMA Galley will hold an exhibition of the only self-taught international artist of Iran, Mokarrameh Ghanbari known as “Naneh Mokarrameh” on April 23.
Art enthusiasts can visit Tehran, Pasdaran Street, Golestan 10th, No.44, Farin Building, second floor.
Lady Mokkarameh was born in 1928 in the village of Darikandeh, Babol. Her paintings led her to be known as the painter woman of the year 2001. In 2001, she was awarded an honorary certificate at the Conference of the Foundation of Iranian Woman’s Studies at the University of Sweden.
Naneh Mokarrameh who did not have a college education, could not read and write, began painting at age 67. Many art exhibitions of Mokarrameh’s works throughout the world have been held. The personal home of this artist has been registered as a cultural heritage of the country and has become a museum, attracting visitors every year from around the world.
In November 2015, lady Mokarrameh died from a brain stroke and buried in her private yard.
